In the autumn of 1997, garlands began a new recording at Marlborough Farms Studio, home of Brooklyn eccentrics and merge records recording artists The Ladybug Transistor. Andy chase of Ivy was enthusiastic about the new songs and expressed interest in mixing them. The project was transferred to The Place, Andy’s studio in manhattan, where Gary Maurer finished the recording. Gary had worked with garlands on their previous release. he has also worked with pop music big-shots like Luna and Fountains of Wayne. The songs were then mixed by Andy, whose unerring pop instinct and magic studio skills are showcased to lush and dazzling effect on Ivy’s records.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
